There are many systems offered to the new writer. Each has advantages. Each has disadvantages. Each works for some people. Each fails for some individuals.
Develop e-books and provide them for sale. If you're a fiction author, compose about elements of composing, the process, the pit falls, the publishing procedure, your marketing strategies, and so on. Compose what you understand.
And my own writing block? It's gone. A couple of years earlier, I chose to make the changes I assist others make. I began composing as an adventure, and with that, I could not get enough of it.
Bobette: Another location nonfiction authors typically agonize over is whether to approach a standard, recognized publisher or publish through their own business. Personally, I like the liberty and control enjoyed through self-publishing. What are your thoughts?
Begin by asking what types of writing you will be doing. Will you be writing fiction? Will you be composing non-fiction? Will you be composing blog site posts? Will you be composing short articles? Will you be writing novellas? Will you be Writing Books? Will you be writing series?
Reading is the foundation that all writing is developed on. When we read, Books to read before you die from cereal boxes to Shakespeare, with Stephen King in between, we take in the examples that we will later use to write. Read quantity; read quality; read obsessively. Turn your television off. Check out while you consume breakfast and brush your teeth; checked out throughout your lunch break and while you work out; checked out after dinner and read in bed. Reading leads to writing.
Bringing it all together is your writing system. Writing is an activity like any other. It has a process-- a set of steps that should be followed. It has an environment. And it has actors-- the author, the publisher, the editor and the reader. How all these work together when composing a book, is your system. And it will specify how rapidly and how successfully you remain in composing a book. And how well your book is received by your readers.
